Publications Development company began in New York City in 1968 by providing developmental editing and production services. From that beginning, PDC has been expanding its services and clients until today it provides a full range of prepress services – including copyediting, proofreading, typemarking, artwork and graphics, composition, project management, and supervision of printing and binding.

PDC specializes in the production of professional trade books, textbooks, and popular nonfiction. However, our range of output includes children's books, philosophy, economics, business, training manuals, brochures, and literary collections and anthologies.

The company moved from New York City to Texas in 1978, spreading new roots on a converted cattle ranch in Crockett in the Deep East Texas piney woods area. Located halfway between Houston and Dallas, the company is well situated to cull the most talented individuals from these metropolitan areas and bring them into our company to continue our longstanding tradition of excellence.

Nearly all of PDC's customers are located out of state, including publishers in Massachusetts, New York, California, and Illinois. With one-day Express Mail, FedEx, and UPS, along with email and FTP access, distance is not a factor in prepress work.
